Is there a way to connect between two applications? For example, to create a dictionary database for the idict app, and is it possible to move the data folder from the app folder into my app folder?

I do not think the way you put it, it is possible. You have to create a service and store the information in a centralized location.

That's because every app is in the "sandbox" folder.
